TSSR™ TIER 1: HAIL SHIELD™
- This first Tier is significantly above your normal shingle roof.
- The TSSR™ Tier 1 requires the installation of the Class IV shingle and cap shingle.
- This shingle is tested to withstand hail impacts up to 2" in hail size.
- This tier of protection reduces the chance of needing to replace your roof when only the typical hail storm, and even above, come along. These storms are increasing in frequence and can cost you multiple insurance deductibles over a relatively short period of time.

TSSR™ TIER 2: ENHANCED GUARD™
- Our Tier 2 TSSR™ system includes the Class IV shingle of the Tier 1 protection.
- Additionally, the system includes the following advanced wind and hail protection:
- An elevated minimum standard for the roof sheathing. This provides a stronger roof surface as the foundation of the roof covering.
- Additional requirements for the nail type and spacing provide increased resistance to tear-off and storm related damage.
- Water Sealing of all of the joints of the roof sheathing. This helps to prevent the intrusion of water into the interior of your home should there be a storm that causes damage to the exposed roofing layers (shingles and underlayment).
- A higher quality underlayment that adds significantly to the resistance of storm damage and water intrusion.
- A larger metal drip edge designed for increased performance and synchronized characteristics with the other related components.
- A self-adhered starter strip rather than a nailed starter shingle. This provides a direct sealing adhesion to both the drip edge and the underlayment on all edges of the roof. This increased seal helps to block out wind driven rain, block out wind itself, which strengthens the entire roof system by working at its most vulnerable points.
- Self-adhered water sealant material is applied in the valleys and around all appurtenance penetrations to secure and seal the vulnerable locations to a higher level.
- Skylights and Sky domes must meet impact resistant specifications. This helps to ensure your entire roof system provides the proper protection. If a skylight feature is breached by hail in a storm, water will pour into your home, and the wind has an access point to cause further tear off damages to your roof and further the intrusion to your home.
- Now your roof is ready for the shingle installation. This is where the Class IV shingles come in. Additionally, they must be installed to meet a manufacturer's minimum wind rating of 130 mph.
- Trimming it all off is the cap shingle. These also must be the Class IV cap shingles.

- Our Tier 3 TSSR™ system is designed for the homeowner who is most concerned about the increase in hailstorms as well as the size of the hail.
- This system is the same as the Tier 1 system except for the quality and rating of the shingles.
- The Tier 3 TSSR™ system requires a much more advanced shingle. This shingle has a manufacturer's warranty against hail up to 3".

Once the roof is built, changes to the certification are not possible as the certification identifies what was built.
How does the warranty work for your roofing systems?
Warranties are offered by the product manufacturers for the materials, and by the contractor for the labor. Our certification runs for the life of your roof or until there are any consequential changes to your roof.

We do not offer financing directly for our services. However, if your contractor offers financing options, you may be able to roll our minimal service fees into the same finance offering.
